Executive Committee |

The Executive Committee meets prior to all business meetings of the Council and at other times as necessary. It acts as an advisor to the Chairperson and approves appointments of standing committees and special committees. It has general supervision responsibilities for the Council and conducts the affairs of the Council between meetings. The Executive Committee reports at each meeting of the Council on any actions it has taken between meetings. It is composed of the officers of the Council. They are:Lee Gordon, Council Chair;Nancy Hunter, Council Vice-Chair; and Lois Taurman, Member-at-Large.

Nominating Committee |

By late February on a biennial basis, the Committee develops a slate of candidates for Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Member at Large (Executive Committee as specified in the By-Laws), making sure that all nominees are willing to serve, if elected. The Slate of candidates is forwarded to the Office of Vocational Rehabiltiation staff for mailing with agenda materials to the Council for the March meeting. This committee also makes recommendations for replacements for Council members whose terms have expired or who have resigned. The Committee may generate interest in Council membership among advocacy groups and others. The current chair of the committee is David Allgood.

Consumer Satisfaction and Program Evaluation Committee |

The mission of the Consumer Satisfaction and Program Evaluation Committee is to enhance the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation's effectiveness in assisting people with disabilities to achieve positive employment outcomes. Among other things, the committee oversees the Council's annual Consumer Satisfaction Survey. The current chair of the committee is John Riesenberg.

Public Awareness and Legislative Advocacy Committee |

The mission of the Public Awareness and Advocacy Committee is to advocate, educate and communicate in advancement of the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation's mission. One of its responsibilities is the Council's Annual Report. The current chair of the committee is David Allgood.

Public Policy and Planning Committee |
 |
The mission of the Policy and Planning Committee is to review, analyze and make recommendations on all relevant policies of Vocational Rehabilitation. The committee works on the strategic plan, the state plan, amendments to the plans, eligibility and other regulations. It seeks greater consumer and community involvement in the development of the plans and strives for greater vocational choice. The current chair of the committee is Terry Shockley.

Interagency Coordinating Committee |
 |
This committee coordinates activities with other councils (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, Statewide Independent Living Council, etc.) in order to avoid duplication of efforts and services to individuals with disabilities. It meets in between the quartely Council meetings. The Statewide Council for Vocational Rehabilitation chairperson chairs the committee.
